Regardless of the season, be sure your merchandising is telling a story. All too often I see windows filled with mannequins that are nicely dressed but that have no relationship. Before you set a window, table, shelf or high wall display know what the story is. Remember that everyone knows the holidays are here—what else do you want your display to say? Perhaps you have a table display that tells the story of gifts for the hostess, or maybe your window evolves from a color theme that is sure to grab attention. To be effective, no element in a display should be randomly placed but should have a purpose.
Remember displays in windows and on tables have the ability to not only drive traffic to you, but when a grouping has a relationship, is well positioned and well organized will invite add-on sales!
